FAQ

Common Questions

Short answers for the support topics people need most often.

What is DepthNote3D?

DepthNote3D turns 2D artwork into depth maps and printable 3D exports. It is built for quick creative previews, gifts, and print-ready experiments.

How do credits work?

Credits are used for depth generation and exports. The backend checks and spends credits before paid actions run, so the number shown in the interface is only a display value.

What happens when I buy a subscription?

Your account receives the subscription perks shown on the pricing page after checkout finishes and Stripe confirms the purchase.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. Canceling prevents future renewals only. Your paid perks remain active until the end of the current billing period.

Can I resume a canceled subscription / Return to Plan?

If your subscription is scheduled to cancel but the current period has not ended, use Return to Plan from your profile. It resumes the same Stripe subscription without creating a new one.

What refunds are allowed?

Subscriptions are non-refundable. One-time purchases are only considered for duplicate charges, failed delivery, or verified technical issues. Refunds are not guaranteed.

Why did my credits change?

Credits can change after purchases, generation, exports, refunds, failed-action recovery, or subscription updates. Check your profile history first, then send a support request if something still looks wrong.

What is the difference between STL and 3MF?

STL is a broad 3D mesh format. 3MF can keep richer print data and is often better for modern slicers and color-capable workflows.

Why did my export fail?

Exports can fail when the source image is too complex, the generated depth map is invalid, or a temporary server issue interrupts processing. Try again with a simpler image or contact support with the export details.

How long are downloads/export history available?

Export history and retained downloads are temporary account conveniences, not permanent storage. Download important files soon after export.

Can I use prints commercially?

Commercial use depends on your plan and on whether you have the rights to the uploaded artwork. You are responsible for making sure your source content can be used that way.

Copyright/upload responsibility

Only upload content you own, created, licensed, or otherwise have permission to use. You are responsible for uploaded content and any rights or copyright issues connected to it.
